UW Center for Civic Engagement on the
Corner of Stewart & 7th Avenues
The Wisconsin Institute for Public Police and Service is located in the UW Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) on the UW-Marathon County campus at 625 Stewart Avenue in Wausau. Completed in November 2010, the building also houses these organizations and offices:
- Wisconsin Public Radio
- The David R. Obey Civic Resource Center
- UWEX Continuing Education and Outreach
- The UWMC Theater and the UWMC Theatre Program
- Kids Voting USA and offices for other community partners

The CCE is the hub of WIPPS outreach and public scholarship, as well as programming by its other constituents, directed towards advancing the vision of the Wisconsin Idea.

General Contractor: Miron Construction
Completion: November 2010
Full occupancy: January 2011
Building Construction Cost: $6.8 million. The project was financed by $3.6 million from Marathon County, $1.38 million from the State for movable equipment, and $5.068 million from the Federal Government for the building and also for the land acquisition.
