Deliberation Projects

With its commitment to civil discourse and its investment in the process of deliberation, WIPPS seeks opportunities to utilize the National Issues Forums-style methods and tools within a multiplicity of settings. Public gatherings, town hall meetings, classroom teaching modules,  organizational strategic planning initiatives….the Institute keeps finding a myriad of ways that the inclusion of thoughtful decision-making practices add immeasurable value for groups that are seeking optimal outcomes on pressing issues.
WIPPS is frequently called upon to undertake deliberation projects, whether through moderating forums or assisting groups in naming and framing techniques. WIPPS also partners with the Kettering Foundation to provide statewide and regional participation and supply data and results for many of their nationally-based projects. The Institute also develops projects of its own to research the impact of deliberative practices and add to its ever-growing body of inquiry about these methodologies.
