Moderator Training

The Wisconsin Institute for Public Policy and Service, in accordance with its affiliation with the Kettering Foundation, has offered and continues to offer moderator training workshops to prepare citizens and leaders to conduct deliberations in their communities and beyond, guided by the principles established by the National Issues Forums. To be trained in moderating skills allows all interested individuals the ability to lead public forums that address “wicked issues,” or public concerns on important topics. Specific skills transferred by the two-day trainings include:

Moderator training workshops are taught by WIPPS staff and affiliates who themselves have been trained through Kettering Foundation workshops and are offered throughout the year to all interested parties, at an affordable cost.
